Wyatt Berry Stapp Earp is born March 19 1848. Wyatt is one of five sons. (Newton, James, Virgil, Wyatt, Morgan and Warren). Nicholas Earp was his father and Virginia Ann Earp was his mother.

1873 - Earp was offered a job with the Ellsworth Police Force in the early 1870's. Reportedly Earp took the job for a short time and succeeded in disarming a famous and dangerous gunfighter, Ben Thompson.
This is the badge worn by the Marshal of Ellsworth Kansas at that time in American history.
